According to the supplied craft information, the ikat borders in this Mankidia Tussar tradition are created by tying and dyeing the yarn before weaving.
This resist-dyeing process produces the characteristic soft, slightly blurred edges in the pattern.
The Tussar itself also carries a naturally textured surface.
Because the saree is handwoven, slight differences in checks, stripe alignment, ikat definition and surface texture may naturally occur.
These variations are part of the handmade textile and should not automatically be considered defects.
