On a light beige Jamdani cotton, bird motifs in black and green cross the field toward a green border — birds with a landscape to land in.
The warm neutral ground gives the motifs room, while the handwoven figures bring colour and movement without overwhelming the light cotton surface.
The pallu closes with the same easy flight, continuing the Jamdani bird motifs through to the end.
Woven on a pit loom in Nadia, West Bengal. The blouse piece is plain beige cotton with green and white stripes.

Jamdani builds motifs into fine cotton through an extra-weft technique. Here, black-and-green bird forms are individually woven across a light beige ground, framed by a green border before the same birds continue their movement through the pallu.
