Against a black Tussar silk ground, vertical stripes in orange, green, white and golden zari run the full length of the body — colour held in disciplined lines.
Wine, orange and green bands define the border, while the pallu closes in Kutchi weaving with golden zari stripes.
The natural grain and lustre of Tussar remain visible beneath the colour, giving the black ground depth and keeping the brighter lines from feeling flat.
Handwoven on a pit loom in Bhujodi, Kutch. The blouse piece is soft cotton in black with wine, orange and green stripes.
