A Patteda Anchu cotton saree with tiny black and white checks across the body, held by a striking pink Gomi Teni border. The border is woven in a geometric pattern whose form is said to echo jowar seeds.
At the close, the saree shifts into a maroon, black and white striped pallu.
Handwoven in cotton on a pit loom in Gajendragad, Karnataka.
A cotton running blouse piece is included.

Patteda Anchu takes its name from Patteda — stripes and checks — and Anchu, the contrasting border. Here, tiny black-and-white checks meet a pink Gomi Teni edge said to echo jowar seeds, before maroon, black and white stripes complete the pallu.
