A plain pink Patteda Anchu cotton saree, quiet in construction and defined by contrast. The body stays flat and uninterrupted in pink, allowing the edge to carry the character of the weave.
A deep maroon border with a single pale pink stripe frames the saree, while the pallu shifts into grey and white at the close.
Handwoven in cotton on a pit loom in Gajendragad, Karnataka, the saree belongs to the Patteda Anchu tradition of North Karnataka.
A cotton running blouse piece completes the saree.
