A Patteda Anchu cotton saree built around contrast: tiny black and white checks across the body, with a blue border along one edge and a yellow border along the other — the Ganga Jamuna treatment that gives the saree its name.
At the close, the palette shifts again into a green-striped pallu.
Handwoven in cotton on a pit loom in Gajendragad, Karnataka.
A cotton running blouse piece completes the saree.

Patteda Anchu takes its name from Patteda — stripes and checks — and Anchu, the contrasting border. Here, tiny black-and-white checks meet a blue edge on one side and yellow on the other, before a green-striped pallu completes the weave.
