A Molakalmuru saree woven in fine mulberry silk, with a 6X6 ply body covered in fine yellow and grey Mungi checks. The small checks run across the saree with a restrained, geometric rhythm — yellow points against grey, like turmeric scattered across a muted field.
The body is essentially borderless, finished only with a thin self border, allowing the checked pattern to continue with very little interruption.
The pallu shifts into ceremony: a yellow field with heavy zari work, Rudraksha motifs and additional woven detailing.
