According to the supplied craft information, Mankidia Tussar uses resist-dyed ikat borders, where the yarn is tied and dyed before weaving.
This process can produce soft, slightly blurred motif edges, which are part of the visual character of the technique.
The Tussar itself also carries a naturally textured surface.
Because the saree is handwoven, slight variations in checks, stripe alignment, ikat definition and texture may occur.
These are part of the handmade character of the textile and should not automatically be considered defects.
